Salted Egg Shrimp
INGREDIENTS
- 50g-100g Flavoro Salted Egg Spread
- 350g Shrimp (Or chicken, meat, or vegetables)
- 50g margarine
- Curry leaves
- Chili padi

PREPARATION
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a generous spoonful of margarine. Once melted and sizzling, toss in a handful of fresh curry leaves and 2 to 3 finely chopped chili padi (bird’s eye chilies). Sauté them for a minute or two until the curry leaves crisp up slightly and the chilies release their bold aroma. This fragrant base sets the tone for the rich, savory flavors of the dish.
Next, add your protein of choice—fresh shrimp works beautifully, but you can also use diced chicken, sliced beef, squid, or even tofu or a mix of vegetables for a vegetarian option. Stir-fry everything in the aromatic margarine for about 4–6 minutes, or until the meat or seafood is fully cooked and slightly caramelized on the edges. Make sure everything is evenly seared and coated in the infused margarine.
Once the ingredients are cooked through, add a generous amount (about 100 grams, or to taste) of Flavoro Salted Egg Spread to the pan. Stir quickly and thoroughly, letting the spread melt and blend with the other ingredients. It will form a creamy, golden coating that clings deliciously to the protein or vegetables, adding a luxurious, umami-rich flavor with every bite.
Serve hot as a main dish with steamed rice or noodles, or use it as a flavorful topping for fried rice or pasta. This versatile salted egg stir-fry is bold, comforting, and incredibly satisfying—perfect for a quick dinner that doesn’t compromise on taste.
